Josh Barnett was on location at the 2009 International Mixed Martial Arts Exposition in Los Angeles, California.  World of MMA was able to get a couple questions in with the top ten ranked Heavyweight during a waterbreak after he was sparring with a student.

World of MMA: Josh, are we going to see you compete in Japan now?

Josh Barnett: I was always able to compete in Japan.  My contract with Affliction allowed me to fight across seas, until Affliction folded. 

World of MMa: Did Affliction tell their fighters that the promotion was going under or did they play it off like they were doing fine?

Josh Barnett: They didn't really tell us anything.
