Rumors have surfaced about Strikeforce's next show in November that pits the number one ranked fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko against up and coming heavy handed Brett Rogers in November.
According to several different sources, former Dream Middleweight Champion Gegard Mousasi is said to be fighting "King Mo" Muhammed Lawal at Strikeforce's next event. Although this matchup would guarantee excitement as both fighters bring an impressive game, it has been confirmed to be just another rumor.
World of MMA contacted King Mo who had this to say about the fight. "Fighting Gegard would be an honor but its not official. I have to take some time off to let my knee heal. I fought Kerr on 4 months rehabilitation after ACL surgery. I need to let it heal correctly before I fight again."
Muhammed is out for some months which leaves the 205 Champion with no one to fight. Perhaps the young fighters should take a break for the remaining of the year and get ready to defend his belt against a worthy contender. Now it's up to Strikeforce to fill the contender spots.
